At The World Parliament Forum, Fadli Zon Affirms The World Must End The Hypocrities

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPR RI Delegation at the General Assembly of the World Parliament (Inter-Parliamentary Union / IPU) Fadli Zon emphasized that the world must end themensity so that the world can truly be realized. He also conveyed a number of views in the framework of realizing a peaceful, inclusive, and free world from all forms of intolerance.

"All countries want their people to live peacefully free from suffering, fear, annexation measures, and all forms of intolerance such as Islamophobia which is repetitive and burning of the Qur'an," said Fadli at the opening debate session of the 146th, 11-15 March, in Manama, Bahrain, which was attended by more than 1700 legislators from 130 countries.

The politician who serves as the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) highlighted the world that is still chaotic. "Wars, hostility, and intolerance still occur in various parts of the world, which are manifested in hate speech, blasphemy religion, apartheid, and discrimination," he said.

The DPR member of the West Java V electoral district highlighted the discriminatory world. "The most troubling thing is the global injustice that is still entrenched that has plagued the severe collective suffering the Palestinian people have experienced for nearly seven decades," he highlighted.

Strictly speaking, Fadli Zon urged the world to end the condemnation and very naked double standards. "How can the world still be silenced without concrete action in contemporary modern eras while we are still witnessing a terrible occupation for more than seven decades," he quipped.

The Gerindra politician questioned the silence of a thousand languages over the continuing seizure of land and the expulsion of Palestinians from his homeland, as well as the deaths that haunt them.

Are we truly civilized citizens of the world, he criticized while reminding Israeli violence that killed nearly 150 Palestinians killed in the West Bank and east Jerusalem in 2022, as the region's deadliest year since 2004.

Fadli Zon also reminded about the suffering of the Rohingya minority in Rakhine and Muslim minorities caused by intolerant policies and Islamophobia. Vice President of the League of Parliamentarians for Al Quds strongly condemns the attitude of countries that clearly show defamation and double standards in responding to intolerance, racial discrimination, blatant abuse committed by a annexing country. "Let us make sure our world is free from residual colonial mentality, which tends to place others as dignified people to be later exploited. We must not allow any country to be above international law. We are all the same before the law," concluded Fadli Zon.
