Based on the residents' information, said Yanto, the Narcotics Unit Operational Team immediately made further investigation efforts into the information at around 20.45 WIB.

"I and the West Pasaman Police Narcotics Unit Operations team arrested MA and TW, after conducting a search of TW who was found to have stored evidence in the form of two medium-sized packages suspected of containing methamphetamine in his jacket pocket", he said.

Based on the suspect's confession, Yanto said, the plan was for the illicit goods to be distributed in West Pasaman.

He added that in addition to securing evidence in the form of two methamphetamine packages, he also secured evidence in the form of two mobile phones, a digital scale, a motorcycle without a police number, IDR 250,000 in cash, and a black jacket.

"For now the two suspects and evidence are being held at the West Pasaman Police Headquarters for further investigation", he said.

According to him, West Pasaman Police Narcotics Investigation Unit investigators applied article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with article 112 paragraph (2) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics.
