A Couple In Kemayoran Breaks Into The Mosque Charity Box, Rp3 Million Is Lost

JAKARTA - The theft of a charity box containing cash took place at the Al-Iman mosque in Gang BB, Jalan H. Ung, RW 02, Utan Panjang Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta. The theft was carried out by a teenage male and female couple. The actions of the two perpetrators were known through CCTV footage at the location of the theft.

In the footage, it can be seen that the two perpetrators broke into the charity box inside the mosque using an object. After getting the money, the perpetrator fled.

According to Nizar, the guard of the Al-Iman mosque, the theft was discovered just before dawn when he was about to make coffee. Nizar saw that the charity box was already open.

"It turned out to be empty, I took my cellphone home, I entered the children's WA (other residents). The perpetrators were seen as 2 people, male and female," he told reporters, Tuesday, March 7.

R said the perpetrator used a screwdriver-like device to dismantle the charity box. As a result of the theft, Rp3 million was lost.

"Yes, every day (the charity box is outside), the charity box is locked, this lock is broken. We haven't reported it to the police for a long time, we have also reported it to the police," he concluded.
