Bobby Nasution Rejects Deputy Chair Of SC Formula E Jakarta Position, The Reason Is Many Tasks In Medan

MEDAN - Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution has refused to serve as Deputy Chair of the Steering Committee for the Jakarta E-Prix or Formula E 2023 which will be held on 3-4 June 2023.

"First, I would like to thank the general chairman of IMI (Indonesian Motors Association) Mr. Bambang Soesatyo, because yesterday he assigned me to the Formula E Steering Committee," said Bobby in Medan, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 3.

Bobby Nasution had previously told Bambang Soesatyo, who is also chairman of the MPR, not to involve himself in the Formula E committee.

Because his duties as Mayor of Medan are of course filled with various activities, so he stated that his focus was on taking care of the capital city of North Sumatra Province.

"Because I still have a lot of duties in Medan, sir (Bambang Soesatyo, ed), I'm afraid I won't be able to carry out my duties on the Formula E Steering Committee. I apologize, I haven't been able to participate," he said.

But even so, he was still included in the Formula E 2023 committee, so his party immediately confirmed this involvement.

"I apologize to Mr. Bambang Soesatyo, because there are still a lot of tasks in Medan. I said if I may sir, I will really be on duty in Medan," he explained.

If he pleases, explained Bobby, he will not be included in the committee list for the Jakarta E-Prix or Formula 2023.

"Alhamdulillah, Mr. Bambang Soesatyo supported me yesterday, because my job is as Mayor of Medan," he explained.

According to Bobby, now his name has been removed from the Formula E 2023 committee by the electric car racing committee.

"Thank God, Mr. Bambang Soesatyo also immediately said that I was not on the Formula E Steering Committee. That's what I said," said the Mayor of Medan.

It is known, officials at the central and regional levels to racers have been appointed to a committee arrangement starting from the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee for Formula E 2023.

Steering committee with Chairman Bambang Soesatyo (Chairman of the MPR) and six Deputy Chairmen, namely Bobby Nasution (Mayor of Medan City), Prasetyo Edi Marsudi (Chairman of DPRD DKI Jakarta), Ahmad Syahroni (member of the DPR), Ricardo Galael (racer), Tinton Soeprapto (automotive figure), Anondo Eko (Chairman of IMI DKI).

While the organizing committee with Head Ananda Mikola (former racer) and Deputy Chairman Akbar Himawan Buchari (Ketum BPP Hipmi).
