Explosion Cluster In Duren Sawit Due To No Air Disposal Channel

JAKARTA The explosion incident that caused an elderly woman to catch fire in the toilet shocked residents of Sumur Village RT 10/RW 10 Klender Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. Because, according to the victim's husband, the sound of the explosion looked like a bomb. Why did that happen?

East Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief AKBP Ahmad Fanani Prasetyo explained that the fire explosion (WC) was due to the absence of air circulation in the septic tank.

"Based on the results of the inspection at the TKP (the scene of the incident), the source of the explosion came from a bathroom exhaust that was suspected of having indications of gas overflow (meana) from a septic tank, which had no disposal or air circulation," said Fanani, quoting Antara, Friday, March 3. The explosion caused a middle-aged woman named Eli (57) to suffer burns of up to 50 percent.

Eli, an elderly victim of an exhaust explosion in Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, is still lying in Duren Sawit Hospital undergoing medical treatment. It is known, at the time of the explosion of the fire, the victim suffered burns of up to 50 percent.

Kusdoyo (57), the victim's husband, said that the incident occurred when he had just woken up. Kusdoyo said the sound of the explosion sounded very loud.

"When I woke up, suddenly the septic tanks exploded. The wife jumped for help and finally all of the residents came out to provide help. The explosion was here (while pointing at the toilet), the floor was cracked and the ceiling broke," said Kusdoyo.

The victim had left the house to ask residents for help. So that the victim was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital.

"The burns on the hands and feet were about more than 50 percent burnt. The sound of the explosion was like a bomb, the septictank exploded," he said.

Previously, it was reported that an elderly woman with the initials E (57) became a victim of an explosion of squatting toilets and emitting a fire in the bathroom of her house in Sumur Village, RT 10/10, Klender Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Friday, March 3.

As a result of the explosion, the victim suffered a number of burns to his body.
