Ganjar Called The Tightening Of The Java-Bali PSBB Can Be Extended To Other Regions And Even One Island

JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, said that the government has opened up opportunities to expand areas that are experiencing a tightening of the PSBB. Not only one province, but even tightening can be done in one Java Island.

This happens if the number of COVID-19 cases is still uncontrolled, the use of isolation care beds and the COVID-19 ICU is still increasing, the cure rate is still below the national figure, and the death rate is still above the national figure.

"Tightening is very possible for us to apply to others. If we have done the PSBB together, but later in many places it is still like this, it is not impossible (tightening) we will reach one island," said Ganjar in a YouTube broadcast of BNPB Indonesia, Thursday , 7 December.

Ganjar Pranowo asked the public, especially those engaged in the business sector, to give up their business to suffer losses due to the planned PSBB restrictions in Central Java.

"Tourism, I'm sorry, you will lose. We are talking about it. We should not trick anymore. Because if we say, 'calm down, you will still be okay', that's not possible," said the PDIP politician.

In the PSBB tightening which will take effect from January 11 to 25, Ganjar limits visitor capacity at tourist attractions to only 30 percent. If violated, the place of business will be subject to temporary closure.

"I will be forced to monitor it. If only once tourism violates, it will be closed. We talk like that, so that the business world will be able to understand this difficult situation," said Ganjar.

In addition, Ganjar also advised micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to be tolerant if their business does not sell due to restrictions on community mobility.

Because, Ganjar admitted that economic conditions will not continue to move freely when there are restrictions. Currently, the priority scale being taken is health management.

"If the conditions are like this, don't talk about the economic impact. At best, today you, the UMKM actor, work to get a profit of Rp. 100,000, maybe only Rp. 20 thousand and you have to be sincere," he said.

PSBB tightening exists in six provinces, but is carried out on a micro scale for each district / city. In the DKI Jakarta Province, it applies in all administrative cities, namely North Jakarta, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, South Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands.

In West Java, the city of Bogor, Bogor Regency, Depok City, Bekasi City, Bekasi Regency, and Bandung Raya areas such as Bandung City, West Bandung Regency, Cimahi Regency are tightening.

Banten Province is located in the Tangerang Raya area, namely Tangerang City, Tangerang Regency, South Tangerang City.

In Central Java Province are Semarang Raya, Solo Raya, and Banyumas Raya. In DI Yogyakarta are Yogyakarta City, Bantul Regency, Gunung Kidul Regency, Sleman Regency, and Kulonprogo Regency.

In East Java are all areas of Malang Raya and Surabaya Raya. Meanwhile in Bali are Denpasar City and Badung Regency.
