PKS Not Law Jokowi, Democrats And NasDem During The National Working Meeting On February 24

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) will hold a national working meeting (Rakernas) on February 24-26, 2023. However, PKS ensures that it will not invite President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Chairman of the Public Relations Division of the PKS DPP Ahmad Mabruri, said that his party did not invite any parties to this National Working Meeting. In fact, he said, the NasDem Party and the Democrats who were members of the coalition of changes were also not invited.

"No one was invited from other parties. Neither did the President of the Republic of Indonesia," Mabruri told reporters, Monday, February 20. Even though there were reports that on February 24, PKS would declare support for Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024 and at the same time declare himself to join the Change Coalition.

Mabruri emphasized that the PKS National Working Meeting this time was held for an internal meeting to welcome the 2024 General Election.

"The National Working Meeting is more of a PKS internal meeting to welcome the 2024 election celebration," he concluded. Previously, PKS Syuro Council Deputy Chairman Hidayat Nur Wahid, revealed that his party would declare support for Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate in 2024, as well as join the Change Coalition. Hidayat said the declaration would be made earlier than the planned schedule. Namely, it will be held in conjunction with the PKS national working meeting (rakernas) on February 24, 2023.

"There is progress. God willing, it will advance. Before the 24th it will be declared," said HNW while in the East Jakarta area, Monday, February 13.

In fact, information on the declaration of the Coalition for Amendments and support to Anies by PKS was already known by the General Chairperson of Golkar, Airlangga Hartarto. In a meeting with the Chairman of the PKB Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin at Istora Senayan on February 10, Airlangga said that PKS plans to declare support for Anies Baswedan on February 24. According to Airlangga, for the first time, Anies' declaration will be made as a separate presidential candidate not together with the Democrats and NasDem.

"They have become a declaration. The 24th PKS will be declared. Alone," said Airlangga.
