Woman Killed After Jumping From 4th Floor Of Taman Anggrek Mall

JAKARTA - Police say an anonymous woman who jumped from the 4th floor of Taman Anggrek Mall was dead at the scene.

"Without an identity, only carrying a bag. From the witness' testimony, he jumped to kill himself and died," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Jakarta Tanjung Duren Police, AKP Mubarak in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 6.

Based on witness testimony, Mubarak explained that the woman, who is thought to be in middle age, jumped from the 4th floor inside Taman Anggrek Mall.

Mubarak said police investigators combed the surveillance / CCTV cameras around the scene and dug up the testimonies of witnesses to determine the exact chronology of the incident.

"The estimated incident will be around 18.00 WIB," he said.

Officers evacuated the woman's body using an ambulance to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), Central Jakarta.

Previously, a visitor fell on his stomach on the ground floor was caught on an amateur camera by a visitor of Taman Anggrek Mall and went viral through social media.
