Metro Police Hands Over The Murder Case On Becakayu Toll Road To District Attorney

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police handed over the dossier of the premeditated murder case carried out by the suspect Christian Rudolf Tobing (36) against the victim AYR (36) to the Central Jakarta District Attorney.

"On Monday, February 13, 2023, at 16.00 WIB, the suspect and evidence (Phase II) were handed over from Metro Jaya Police investigators to the Public Prosecutor," said the Head of Intelligence Section at the Central Jakarta District Attorney, Bani Immanuel Ginting, in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, February 14th.

Bani explained that in the case file handed over to the police, Rudolf was strongly suspected of the premeditated murder of the victim.

"For his actions, Rudolf was charged with Article 340 and Article 339 of the Criminal Code (KUHP), with the maximum penalty being death penalty or life imprisonment or for a certain period of time, a maximum of 20 years," said Bani.

Bani explained that the suspect would be detained at the Salemba Class I Detention Center (Rutan), Central Jakarta.

"Furthermore, Christian Rudolf Tobing will be detained for 20 days, starting from 13 February 2023 to 4 March 2023," said Bani.

Previously, this case was revealed on October 17, 2022, when AYR alias I's body was found in a plastic bag under the Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu (Becakayu) toll road.

The police revealed that Rudolf was arrested on Tuesday, October 18 2022 at 11.00 WIB in the Pondok Gede area around when he was about to sell the victim's laptop.

The police revealed that Rudolf's motive for killing AYR alias I was hurt due to personal problems.

The suspect Rudolf then devised a plan to kill H and S first. However, things did not go smoothly because the two of them did not respond to the suspect Rudolf's invitation to meet.

Because of this, the suspect then targeted AYR alias I and invited the victim to meet on the pretext of wanting to make a podcast and invite the victim to his apartment.

The victim complied with the suspect's invitation and the suspect used the opportunity to kill the victim and dispose of his body on the Becakayu Toll Road.

The victim's body was found by local residents and immediately reported to the police who then immediately conducted a crime scene (TKP) investigation and uncovered the case in a short time.
