Deputy Head Of North Kalimantan Regional Police Visits Home Of Suspected Dealer Shot By Malinau Police, Victim's Family Asks For Maximum Punishment

KALTARA - The funeral home for the late LH, a shooting victim of a Malinau Police Mobile Brigade member with the initials W, was visited by North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Regional Police.

The Deputy Head of the North Kalimantan Regional Police (Wakapolda), Brigadier General Pol Kasmudi, who attended the visit, promised to investigate the case where his men shot LH until he died.

"The Kaltara Regional Police Chief and his staff will seriously deal with this matter, and we can assure that with my presence and the good intentions of the National Police leadership to provide legal certainty to the family that the Kaltara Regional Police will follow up on this case in a professional manner," said Kasmudi in Malinau, North Kalimantan, Sunday, February 5, as reported by Antara.

The purpose of the Deputy Chief of Police's visit was to provide feedback and follow up on an agreement between the Malinau Police Chief, the Malinau Regent, and elements of the indigenous peoples that this matter would be taken seriously.

Meanwhile, during the Deputy Chief of Police's visit, the family also conveyed several problems. One of them is to ask that this case be processed professionally and transparently, and that the perpetrators of the shooting be punished to the fullest extent.

Separately, the Head of the Malinau Police, AKBP Andreas Deddy Wijaya also emphasized that the police would thoroughly investigate this case in a transparent manner.

Previously, the situation at the Malinau Police Headquarters which was damaged by residents was gradually conducive. The destruction by an alleged methamphetamine dealer with the initials LH was shot dead by Brigpol W, a member of Mobile Brigade Company 4 Yon A Pioneers of Malinau.

"So we have made an inventory of what was damaged at the Malinau Police Headquarters," said Malinau Police Chief AKBP Andreas Deddy Wijaya in Malinau, Kaltara, Sunday, February 5.

Andreas ensured that Brigpol W would be subject to sanctions and punishments in accordance with applicable regulations. He had conveyed this to dozens of residents who had filled the Malinau Police Headquarters since Sunday, February 5 afternoon.

"I have also guaranteed that as the Head of the Malinau Police to ensure that this (case) process will be processed as fairly as possible. And now the perpetrator of the shooting (Brigpol W) has been secured at the Kaltara Regional Police," he said.
