JAKARTA - The 2023 Bogor Street Festival Cap Go Meh (CGM) is predicted to be enlivened by a number of officials in Indonesia.

Starting from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil to regional heads throughout West Java, it is reported that they will attend the event which will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

According to Kombes Pol Bismo, the Bogor Street Festival CGM 2023 is also predicted to be attended by around 50 thousand people, both from within and outside the city of Bogor.

"About 50,000 visitors will attend," said Kombes Pol Bismo.

Added by Kombes Pol Bismo, Bogor Street Festival CGM 2023 will be an interesting event, especially after the Covid-19 Pandemic. Of course, the euphoria of the people must be anticipated and secured.

"This is part of our efforts to secure a big event which is a joint and cultural festival that is a tourist magnet for the city of Bogor and also a driver of the people's economy," he said.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya said, Bogor Street Festival CGM 2023 was the last CGM in Bima-Dedie's remaining positions. No doubt, he wanted to close it with fond memories, namely CGM running more orderly. He also gave important directions that need to be considered for the smooth running of the event later.

"First, the socialization must be optimal and intensive in all channels related to the rundown of the event and the estimation of mass accumulation points in much more assertive language. Moreover, every weekend there are 300 thousand people who come to Bogor and during the CGM it is not only Jakarta residents but also Bogor City residents. and traffic problems have always been the main focus of the public," he said.

Then, the second thing that must be considered is that parking pockets which must be more massive starting from the City Hall, Bakorwil, Bappeda, Library, and Budi Mulia can be maximized for parking.

"Instruct residents to walk, don't like last year residents parked near the event location," said Bima Arya.

The third thing that must also be considered is that 2023 has entered a political year, so anything can happen. Preparedness must be increased and information must be collected, especially on D-days which are prone to pickpocketing.

"Pedati Street and Lawang Seketeng Street are much tidier now and it would be interesting if they functioned, aliases, don't let motorbikes and people to be messed up here," he said.
