LSN Survey: Prabowo Wins In West Java, Competing CLOSEly In East Java With Ganjar

JAKARTA - The National Survey Institute (LSN) released the latest survey results related to the dynamics of competition for the top three presidential candidates (candidates) on the island of Java.

As a result, Prabowo Subianto still controls West Java, Ganjar Pranowo in Central Java, Anies Baswedan in DKI Jakarta.

"If the presidential election is held at this time, Prabowo will still win in Tatar Sundanese as in the previous two presidential elections. Ganjar is unshakable in Central Java, Anies is victorious in DKI Jakarta," said LSN Senior Researcher Gema Nusantara Bakry, Saturday, January 14.

Gema said that Prabowo was still unshakable in West Java, even though it was rumored that Anies had managed to erode the pockets of the Gerindra chairman's voice on Sundanese land.

"The people of West Java remain loyal voters (loyal voters) for Prabowo as well as for the Gerindra Party," he said.

In the results of the LSN survey, Gema explained, 58.4 percent of respondents in West Java admitted that they would choose Prabowo Subianto in the three presidential candidates simulation.

Meanwhile, the name Anies Baswedan, who has had a lot of safaris with the NasDem Party in various regions in West Java, was only chosen by 24.8 percent of respondents.

Meanwhile, the name Ganjar Pranowo, who is also active in socializing in West Java, is only supported by 13.2 percent of respondents, the remaining 3.6 percent do not have a choice (undecided).

Apart from West Java, Prabowo is also still the champion in Banten Province ahead of Anies and Ganjar. In the simulation of three presidential candidates, 48.6 percent of respondents stated that their choice was Prabowo, 29.7 percent chose Anies and 18.9 percent said they would vote for Ganjar Pranowo.

Meanwhile, 2.8 percent of respondents claimed to have undecated.

"Of all the provinces on the island of Java, Anies Baswedan only excels over Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo in DKI Jakarta," he explained.

This was taken in the results of a survey in DKI Jakarta, as many as 40.5 percent of the residents of the capital admitted that they would choose Anies.

Meanwhile, Prabowo and Ganjar's electability in Jakarta is still below Anies, and is competing fiercely.

"In Jakarta, Prabowo was chosen by 27.4 percent of respondents, while Ganjar was supported by 26.9 percent of respondents. While the remaining 5.2 percent was unfair," explained Gema. Interestingly, said Gema, East Java will become the battleground or the hardest battleground for Prabowo and Ganjar.

Because, both of them competed fiercely to become winners.

"Based on the results of the LSN survey, if only three presidential candidates in East Java participated in the presidential election, then Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo competed fiercely to become winners," he said.

Gema explained, as many as 42.1 percent of respondents said they would choose Prabowo, while Ganjar was chosen by 41.9 percent of respondents.

Then, as many as 13.5 percent of respondents gave their choice to Anies Baswedan, while the remaining 2.3 percent did not have a choice (undecided).

Gema said Ganjar Pranowo was ahead of Prabowo and Anies in Mataraman areas or several regencies/cities in the western part of the province. Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto is dominant in Madura and horseshoe areas.

According to Gema, if the Gerindra Party and PKB coalition continues and Prabowo is accompanied by a vice presidential candidate who is liked by Nahdliyin residents, it is not impossible for the first time Prabowo will win in East Java as well as win nationally.

"The issue of the Prabowo/Khofifah pair that had circulated recently seems to have boosted Prabowo's electability in East Java," he concluded.

For information, the latest survey by LSN was conducted in the period 2-11 January 2023 in six provinces on the island of Java.

The population of this survey is the entire population aged 17 years and over or not 17 years but is married.

A total of 1,200 respondents were obtained through a gradual random sampling technique (multi-state random sampling). The margin of error (margin of error) is +/- 2.83 percent and at the level of confidence (level of confidence) is 95 percent
