The Suspect In The Bribery Case, Lukas Enembe, Was Examined By The KPK Today

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is scheduled to examine the suspect suspected of bribing Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. The examination was carried out today, Thursday, January 5.

"One of the parties named as a suspect in the bribery and gratification case in Papua Province has been present at the KPK's Red and White Building," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, January 5.

Ali said the investigation was still ongoing. However, he has not detailed the name of the suspect.

"The investigation is still being carried out as a suspect," he said.

Previously, Lukas Enembe had been named a suspect in alleged corruption by the KPK. However, he did not fulfill the investigator's summons because he claimed to be sick.

Furthermore, the KPK left for Jayapura on Thursday, November 3 to examine Lukas. The examination was carried out at his home.

The KPK team consisting of independent doctors to investigators was present led by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri. Arriving in Jayapura, Firli had a chance to talk with Lukas.

During the conversation, Firli asked about Lukas' condition and spoke for about 15 minutes. Even so, Lukas' examination did not last long because he was sick.

In investigating the case that ensnared Lukas, the KPK has summoned a number of witnesses. Most of them were asked by investigators about the purchase of various assets made by the Governor of Papua.
