The Peak Route Is Not One-Divisional Because The Vehicle Volume Is Controlled

JAKARTA - The Bogor Resort Police did not implement traffic engineering in the form of a one-way system or one-way on the Puncak Line, Bogor Regency, West Java, Saturday, because the volume of vehicles was controlled.

Antara reported on Saturday, December 31, on the Puncak Bogor route, the direction towards Puncak and the opposite direction is relatively busy smoothly. From morning to noon, the weather for the Puncak area is pouring rain.

Even so, the Police continue to apply the traffic engineering of the odd-even vehicle system. Every vehicle that wants to pass to Puncak, first check the number plate by officers right at Simpang Gadog, Ciawi, Bogor.

Meanwhile, a few queues of vehicles occurred at two points on the Puncak Line, namely at Cisarua Market, to be precise, the queue of vehicles from Puncak to Jakarta, and at the Atta-Awun Mosque, the queue of vehicles from Jakarta to Puncak.

Bogor Police Chief, AKBP Iman Imanuddin at the Gadog Integrated Service Post, suspects that the decrease in the volume of vehicles on the Puncak Line is because those who want to celebrate the New Year in Puncak have arrived at the location since Friday.

The reason is, there has been an increase of about 20 percent of the volume of vehicles leading to Puncak on Friday, when compared to normal days.

According to him, the density of vehicles that occurred on Friday afternoon was because people who wanted to celebrate the New Year in Puncak arrived early, before the route was completely closed or Car Free Night (CFN) on New Year's Eve.

"Because we have informed you from the start that on December 31 we will impose restrictions, as people's activities on the top line increase with the existence of a car free night for New Year's Eve," said AKBP Iman.

His party will also implement traffic engineering in the form of an odd-even vehicle system from Friday at 15.00 WIB to Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 24.00 WIB.

AKBP Iman said that as many as 2,500 joint personnel were involved for security during the Christmas and New Year celebrations in Bogor Regency, West Java.

"The 2022 Candle Operation is carried out in the context of securing Christmas and New Year starting from December 22, 2022 to January 2, 2023," said Iman.

He said the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) agreed to place the 2,500 personnel in 15 security posts located in crowded centers.

Iman explained that the main post for the Lodaya Candle Operation was at the Bogor Police Headquarters, then the rest were at Simpang Gadog, Ciawi, Megamendung, Cisarua, Rindu Alam, Cijeruk, Babakanmadang, Sukaraja, Cibinong, Citereup, Gunungputri, Cileungsi, Jonggol, Ciampea, Parung and Parungpanjang.
