Ragunan Wildlife Park Presents Gorilla Attraction On Christmas Day 2022

JAKARTA - The manager of the Ragunan Wildlife Park presents a "Gorila Feeding Time" attraction featuring officers uniquely feeding gorilla primates to entertain visitors this Christmas 25 December.

"We open a special gorilla attraction that certainly entertains visitors," said Ragunan Wildlife Park Public Relations Service (Humas) staff Wahyudi Bambang, quoted from Antara, Sunday, December 25.

Bambang added that later the gorilla cage will be decorated with a lively maybe with Christmas ornaments dominated by red and white.

Later, if the gorilla can pass the show, the officer will give gifts in the form of fruits.

However, this attraction feeding the gorilla can only be done by zoo officials who are experienced or professional.

The gorillas that are shown are used to and trained in their cages, so they will not feel disturbed when seen by many people.

He added that visitors are not allowed to interact with all animals in the Ragunan Wildlife Park, including gorillas, in anticipation of preventing unwanted events.

"Gorilla attraction will be displayed on Sunday at 09.00 WIB located at the Schmutzer Primata Center," he said.

Bambang also forbade the public to cross the guardrail and feed animals when the attraction takes place for the sake of smooth running of the event.

"Because we have provided animal food, sometimes visitors feed them bread and candy even though it can cause animals to experience digestive problems," he said.

Therefore, the management of the Ragunan Wildlife Park will reprimand visitors who do not follow the applicable regulations to be more responsible for behaving in the zoo area.

The Ragunan Wildlife Park is located in South Jakarta and has an area of 147 hectares and is inhabited by more than 2,009 animals and over 20.000 trees overgrown.

With the land arranged and built and partly still being developed towards a modern zoo as the identity of the City of Jakarta.
