For The Umpteenth Time, North Korea Returned To Return The Ballistic Missiles To Eastern Waters

JAKARTA - South Korea received information that North Korea had fired ballistic missiles into its eastern waters. But the location and type of missile are still a mystery.

This information was shared by the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff who said the launch was carried out on Friday, December 23.

The launch was three days after the US flew nuclear-capable bombers and advanced stealth jets near the Korean Peninsula for training along with South Korean warplanes.

North Korea typically views such military exercises by the US and South Korea as invasion exercises.

This comes after a year of unprecedented weapons tests by North Korea, including the launch of North Korea's most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile the previous month.

The strong sister leader Kim Jong Un also insisted earlier this week that North Korea had developed advanced technologies to take pictures from space using spy satellites.

The United States and South Korea have warned for months that Pyongyang is preparing to conduct its seventh nuclear test.
