Have Excess Human Resources And Medical Devices, Pasar Minggu Hospital Will Be A Referral For Main Cancer Care In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono visited the Pasar Minggu Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Pasar Minggu District, South Jakarta.

After reviewing a number of treatment rooms and health services, Heru revealed that Pasar Minggu Hospital has advantages from other local government-owned hospitals, namely cancer treatment facilities.

"I see the services and advantages that are owned by the hospital which is visited today, Pasar Rebo Hospital and Pasar Minggu. One of the advantages here (Pasar Minggu Hospital) is cancer treatment," said Heru at Pasar Minggu Hospital, Wednesday, December 21.

In addition, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Widyastuti, revealed that Pasar Minggu Hospital will be used as the main cancer referral hospital in Jakarta. Therefore, there will be an increase in the capacity of human resources to medical equipment at Pasar Minggu Hospital.

"In accordance with the direction of the Governor, the next Sunday Market will be the main cancer reference in DKI Jakarta. We are preparing the equipment and human resources. On the one hand, we are not only serving Dki residents because we are also serving temporary referrals outside DKI," said Widyastuti.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Pasar Minggu Hospital, Endah Kartika Dewi, also revealed that radiotherapy service facilities are only available at Pasar Minggu Hospital. He said that his party will continue to develop the facility in 2023 by adding Brakitherapy services as a method for cancer therapy, one of which is cervical cancer.

"In the future, there will be additional Brakitherapy and the plan is for nurses to be added again. In addition, we also need an additional four radiographers. This is because we receive many referrals from outside Jakarta," said Endah.
