The National Police's DVI Team At The Sayang Identification Hospital 124 Bodies Of Victims Of The Cianjur Earthquake, 6 Others Still Collection Of Data

The National Police's Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team identified the bodies of victims of the Cianjur earthquake at the Sayang Cianjur Hospital, West Java.

Head of Disaster Division DVI Rodokpol Pusdokkes Polri Kombes Ahmad Fauzi said his party had identified 124 bodies as of today, Thursday, November 24.

"And 6 bodies are still waiting for the completeness of the antemortem data," he said at a press conference at the Sayang Cianjur Hospital, West Java, Thursday, November 24.

All the identified bodies were based on 130 intact body bags and one containing body parts that entered the Sayang Cianjur Hospital.

Ahmad said that previously the National Police's DVI TEAM had identified 123 bodies on Wednesday, November 23. All the bodies have been handed over to the family.

Today there is the addition of one body of the victim of the Cianjur earthquake whose identity is known based on fingerprints and medical records. So that after calculating the number of bodies that have been identified in the Sayang Hospital, there are 24 people.

"Identified as Nining, a 64-year-old woman, with the address Kampung Sarampat RT 1 RW 2, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency, West Java," said Ahmad.

In addition, Ahmad said there is one body part whose identity is currently unknown at the Sayang Hospital. The Police DVI team is currently examining the DNA body part.

"Meanwhile, one body part is still waiting for further examination in the form of DNA examination," he said.

To the victims of the Cianjur earthquake who lost their families when the disaster occurred, Ahmad appealed to go to the nearest hospital or to the missing person complaint post by bringing data or showing their characteristics.

"You can report to the missing person complaint post or the DVI antemortem post in the forensic section of the Cianjur Sayang Hospital by bringing the victim's data in the form of family cards, dental medical records and the last photos of the victim," said Ahmad.
