Komnas HAM Found A Number Of Evidence Related To The Shooting Of FPI Troops, Including Bullet Projectiles

JAKARTA - Commissioner for the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) Beka Ulung Hapsara confirmed the discovery of a number of evidence related to the shooting of six Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) troops at the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Monday, December 7.

One of the pieces of evidence found by Komnas HAM were bullet projectiles.

"(Examples of evidence, red) projectiles and so on," said Beka to reporters at the Komnas HAM Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, December 14.

Beka also responded to the investigation that the Head of Metro Jaya Police, Inspector General Fadil Imran.

Beka said that during the examination, Inspector General Fadil conveyed a number of facts related to the shooting case. Including a number of things the police discovered and what had been done after the shooting.

"(Kapolda Metro Jaya, red) conveyed what had been taken after the incident. So about the autopsy, then the ballistic test was conveyed by the Chief of Police," he said.

In addition, if in the future new evidence is found by the police, they will immediately give it to Komnas HAM for investigation purposes.

"The Chief of Police conveyed the transparency of the police if any evidence, evidence was found and this will be followed up by Komnas HAM," he said.

Beka also confirmed that it would carry out further investigations on the police. It's just that in this summons his party did not focus on Fadil as Kapolda, whoever could fulfill the summons as long as it was related to the case.

"There will be an examination, whether it will be attended by the Kapolda directly or his staff. We do not know yet. It depends on the needs of Komnas HAM," he concluded.
