Azka Is Real Evidence Ofskorbing, Shelled In Ruruntuhan For 60 Hours And Found Selamat

JAKARTA - Three days and two nights, this 4-year-old boy was confined in the middle of the rubble of the house after his home was devastated by the earthquake on Monday, November 23 afternoon.

The boy's name is Azka. Although he was locked for 60 hours in the rubble and silent for a long time and without eating a drink, the miracle was real. Azka was found safe.

The collapsed wall was still held by another wall so that it did not directly hit this boy. However, his biological mother had to experience a different fate, found dead. His grandmother had not been found until Wednesday afternoon.

"This pity (child)," said two words from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Human Rights Mahfud MD when visiting Azka Maulana Malik at Cianjur Hospital, Cianjur Regency, West Java, Wednesday, November 23.

Azka is one of 151 people declared missing by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) based on data Tuesday (22-11). However, Azka was found on Wednesday, at 11.15 WIB at his collapsed house.

The boy is a resident of Rawa Cina Village, Nagrak Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency. The Cugenang District is the worst affected area due to the earthquake that occurred on Monday (21-11), at 13.21 WIB.

With the earthquake on Monday, Azka is not yet known about his fate for 3 days and two nights in the midst of the rubble of his house. He survives without eating or drinking.

Fortunately, the collapsed house did not hit Azka and caused injuries. The reason is, the collapsed wall in Azka's house is still held back by a wall that half collapsed, creating a narrow space, where Azka was lost'.

Now Azka has survived and is undergoing medical treatment at the Cianjur Hospital located at Tenda C. The earthquake victims at the Cianjur Hospital were indeed being treated outside the building to anticipate the earthquake.

In the morning at around 07.00 WIB, Wednesday, the SAR Team began to search for four points in Cugenang District. It is suspected that there were still many victims buried by buildings and landslides.

The SAR team is a joint team consisting of Basarnas personnel, TNI, Polri, to firefighters and disaster volunteers. The team also combed the Cugenang area, including Kampung Rawa Cina.

Then a number of SAR team personnel coordinated with residents to show the point where it was suspected that the victim was buried.

Uncle Azka, Wahyudin (29), at that time showed the SAR Team personnel where Azka was suspected to be the last time before the earthquake hit. According to Wahyudin, Azka was in his room, whose building has now collapsed.

"If that's the time, Azka usually falls asleep in his room alone," Wahyudin said as quoted by Antara.

Finally, the personnel from the SAR Team tried to break into the collapsed bedroom wall at Azka's house. What was found was layered wood or triplex. However, at that time there were also signs of life.

At that time, Azka began to see the light and hands of the SAR Team officers who were trying to achieve it. And finally Azka was successfully removed from the rubble of the building and immediately handed over to his uncle.

The happy atmosphere and emotion also enveloped Azka's rescue seconds as another resident's point of hope. The reason is, in the village it is not only Azka who is declared missing.

Azka was then rushed to Cianjur Hospital as soon as possible by ambulance for medical treatment, accompanied by his uncle and aunt.

Shortly after Azka was rushed to the hospital, officials who visited the earthquake victims did not escape visiting the Cianjur Hospital.
