JAKARTA - The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas held the Indonesia Development Forum (IDF) 2022 peak event with the theme The 2045 Development Agenda: New Industrialization Paradigm for Indonesias Economic Transformation in Bali, on November 21-22, 2022. Through this event, BPN/Bapennas Minister Suharso Monoarfa emphasized the new paradigm in industrialization.

"The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas wants to invite stakeholders to think again, rearrange our strategy in the future, in the context of reindustrialization, placing the industry in the map of Indonesia, macro Indonesia, to accelerate development, for welfare," said the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa, Monday, November 21.

Reindustrialization will be an important key to Indonesia's economic transformation after the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with improving the Indonesian economy, increasing the share of the processing industry towards gross domestic products is also a priority. Industrialization in the future must answer the needs of new lifestyles, which are sustainable, smart, and functional. Our consumers are getting smarter, smarter, more affordable and sophisticated. Thus, business models will change, demand for labor changes and so will the way of financing also change," said Suharso Monoarfa.

IDF 2022 begins with a public lecture on The Importance of Structure in the Manufacturing Sector to Support Post-pandemic Economic Recovery and Sustained Growth from the Minister of the Popular Power for Planning Venezuela for the 1992-1993 period Ricardo Hausmann, a response from the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas for the 2016-2019 period Bambang Brodjonegoro. At the Marketplace Sessions, IDF 2022 provides space for interaction and exchange ideas and ideas related to industrialization for Indonesia's development.

"In addition to discussing the future of Indonesia's industrialization and its role in achieving the Vision of Indonesia 2045, the IDF is also a place for the launch of the 2023-2045 Indonesia Digital Industry Development Master Plan and the Roadmap for the Development of the Aerospace Industry Ecosystem 2022-2045," said Deputy for Economic Affairs of the Ministry of National Development/Bappenas Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti.

The 2022 IDF Peak event with the theme The 2024 Development Agenda: New Industrialization Paradigm for Indonesias Economic Transformation was held to cover the IDEA Series 2022 IDF series: Inspire, Imagine, and Innovate which has been going on throughout 2022.

The IDF generates input for development strategies to improve the quality of national development planning. The IDF is also a place for public participation and development partners to actively engage in national development discourse.
