JAKARTA - The transverse water pipe bridge in the West Flood Canal (BKB) River, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta is used as a place for street children to live.

From Oni's statement (29), one of the traders around the location said that under the Pam water pipe it was indeed used as a place for buskers to live. Their existence is also considered quite disturbing to the residents.

"There are more than 6 people who live there. They interfere with both men and women under one bed they make," he told reporters at the location, Thursday, November 3.

In addition, continued Oni, the existence of buskers and street children who live under water pipes often consumes liquor and breathes Aibon glue. Their negative activities are quite dangerous for themselves and disturbing the residents.

"If they slip, they fall straight into the BKB river, it's dangerous to be swept away," he said.

Meanwhile, according to the confession of one of the homeless people who lived in the location, he had lived under a water pipe for a long time. He and his other friends admitted that they often consumed black notice glue so they could get drunk after they were tired of making a living.

"Yes, you can see there are several bottles of glue, it is indeed the remains of the drunk with glue," said the man who did not want to mention his name.

Responding to this social problem, the Head of Tanah Abang Sub-district, Dicky Suherlan, said that his party would check the presence of residents living under the water pipe.

"Later, we from the sub-district will check the location," he said briefly when contacted.
