JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that a number of areas in the country will experience rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning today, Tuesday, November 1.

Quoted from the BMKG website, the potential for heavy rain today will occur in the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands (Kepri), Bengkulu, Jambi, Yogyakarta Special Region, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). ).

Rain can also fall in West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku, West Papua, and Papua.

Meanwhile, rain with lighter intensity is forecasted in South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Bali, and North Maluku.

The BMKG warned of the potential for heavy rain that could be accompanied by lightning in the cities of Jambi, Gorontalo, Tarakan, Samarinda, Kupang, Palembang, and Medan.

Especially for the DKI Jakarta area, light intensity rain may occur in the South Jakarta area this afternoon.

The BMKG also warned that a number of areas were included in the alert category for the impact of heavy rains such as floods and landslides.
