YOGYAKARTA - The Indonesian National Army (TNI) is still the favorite profession of many young people in Indonesia. To be able to become an Army, you must study for 4 years at the Military Academy (Akmil) cadets. In this education, there is a level or rank of tiered Akmil cadets.

The Military Academy, which is the place for the TNI AD education school, is located in Magelang, Central Java. It was this school that printed cadets and cadets as TNI AD officers after successfully completing education for 4 years. After graduating, they will hold the rank of TNI AD officers with the rank of Second Lieutenant (Letda).

So what is the rank of Akmil cadet during his 4-year education at the Military Academy like?

Each cadet and cadet of the Military Academy will hold different ranks depending on their level. This rank is the identity of the level of education being pursued by them.

In the first year of education, the cadets started the ranks as Cadet Soldiers (Pratar) for 4 months. Then for education for 9 months, they were promoted as Corporal Cadets (Koptar).

Then in the second year, they will have the rank of Sergeant Taruna (Art) as proof of having attended education for one year or 12 months. In the third year, they will hold the rank of Sergeant Major Dua Taruna (Sermadatar),

When they have entered the last year, they will receive the rank of Sergeant Major Satu Taruna (Sermatutar). The ranks at level 4 are the final stages of travel before they are sworn in as TNI Army officers.

The first rank to be intercepted by cadets in Akmil is the Cadet Soldier (Pratar). This first level cadet is the lowest rank to undergo education for 4 months. At this stage, they will receive physical and mental training.

After Pratar, the cadets / cadets will be promoted to Corporal Cadets (Koptar). The rank that was held when studying for 9 months is still in the first level of cadets. At this level, they will take education consisting of field and theoretical exercises.

Furthermore, level II cadets will hold the rank of Sergeant Taruna (Art). This rank is given to cadets who are undergoing the second year of education or have passed 12 months.

In the third level of cadets, they will get the rank of Sergeant Major Dua Taruna (Sermadatar) after Parang. This rank is accepted for those who have attended education in the third year.

The rank of Sergeant Major Satu Taruna (Sermatutar) was given to cadets level 4. This stage is the last level for them to study in Akmil.

After successfully completing education in Akmil, the cadets will be sworn in as TNI AD officers with the rank of Second Lieutenant (Letda) according to their respective corps/branchings.

In addition to being promoted, they also have the basic ability of position of class VIII at the rank of platoon commander or have the academic qualifications of diploma IV (equivalent to Bachelor's degree or undergraduate degree) with the title S.Tr (Han).
