Central Kalimantan Police Withdraw All Manual Tickets

CENTRAL KALIMANTAN - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Central Kalimantan Police (Kalteng) has withdrawn all manual ticketing tickets. This is in accordance with the instructions of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, regarding no longer manual ticketing.

The Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of the Central Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol. Heru Sutopo, said obeying orders by maximizing the recording of violations electronically or ETLE.

"Following up on the instructions, traffic violators cannot be fined manually, for that we have withdrawn tickets from all personnel and Satlantas in the ranks of the Central Kalimantan Police," he said in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, October 26.

According to him, the Ditlantas Polda Central Kalimantan will continue to maximize enforcement by using static ETLE for traffic violators themselves. Although, he continued, until now static ETLE is still installed at one point, namely on Tjilik Riwut Street, Palangka Raya City.

"Indeed, currently Central Kalimantan only has one ETLE point and so far the information obtained, there are already two districts that have confirmed support for the implementation of ETLE in their territory, namely East Kotawaringin Regency and West Kotawaringin Regency," he said.

On the other hand, in the implementation of ETLE, the Central Kalimantan Police Ditlantas has also instructed all Satlantas in the ranks of the Central Kalimantan Police, to immediately coordinate with relevant agencies, and local governments so that they can carry out ETLE actions related to the withdrawal of manual tickets at all levels.

"To respond to instructions from the leadership, we have sent a telegram to the ranks regarding the withdrawal of manual tickets, which are in all Satlantas in the ranks of the local Polda, so we focus on law enforcement through ETLE tickets," said Heru.

The Dirlantas Polda Kalteng hopes that all regencies in the Central Kalimantan region can immediately take action against traffic violations by ETLE.

To deal with the unfulfilled ETLE in all regions, Dirlantas has also asked Korlantas to be able to organize ETLE Mobile in Central Kalimantan.

ETLE Mobile will later be installed in patrol cars, having the same function as regular ETLE, which is to record various violations that have been equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) features so that they are able to record all types of motor vehicle violations.

"We hope that as soon as possible Central Kalimantan has access to ETLE Mobile, so that violations that are not covered by static ETLE can still be dealt with with the aim of cultivating an orderly traffic society so that we can reduce the number of accidents, especially in Central Kalimantan," said Heru Sutopo.
