MEDAN - Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights (Wamenkum HAM) Edward OS Hiariej said that there is no discrimination against Prisoners (WBP) in Correctional Institutions (Lapas) or in State Detention Centers (Rutan) in North Sumatra and all are treated equally.

"Every inmate will still receive the same treatment and there is no discrimination or favoritism," said the Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights, who is familiarly called Prof. Eddy while visiting Binjai Prison, Langkat Narcotics Prison, Langkat Youth Prison, Tanjung Pura Detention Center, and Polonia Immigration Office (Kanim), as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 13.

The Deputy Minister of Law and Human Rights also advised prisons and detention centers to maintain professionalism in their work.
