Responding To The Issue Of Being Tackled Ahead Of The 2024 Presidential Candidate, Anies: I Think The KPK Is Professional

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan responded to the issue of his burglary towards a presidential nomination because he received an examination by the KPK regarding Formula E ahead of the 2024 presidential nomination period. According to Anies, the KPK carries out its duties professionally in investigating allegations of corruption in the implementation of Formula E. "I think the KPK is carrying out its duties professionally. When an institution receives a report, the institution must follow up," said Anies when met in Setu Babakan, South Jakarta, Sunday, October 9. Anies likened the investigation into the Formula E case to the problem reports in Jakarta he received. If he gets a report, he says the DKI Provincial Government will definitely investigate the truth. "If it is continued, if it is not true, it has been completed. We respect it. I believe the KPK will carry out its duties professionally," he said. Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the Democratic Party, Benny K Harman, said that there was an attempt to tackle Anies Baswedan to run in the 2024 presidential election. Benny assessed that the effort was carried out by invisionable hand. "So there is an invisionable power, invisionable hand wants to gap. Who is invisible power? Yes, friends, that's it," said Benny Harman on the sidelines of the Democratic Rapimnas, JCC, Central Jakarta, Friday, September 16. Benny said this invisionable hand will prevent Anies from advancing in 2024. According to him, disturbances to Anies can come in various forms, including through legal cases. "Yes (the way of tackle, ed) can be various things, right. The target must be that (so as not to run for the 2024 presidential election), for sure," said Benny. However, the KPK denied it. Head of the KPK News Division Ali Fikri emphasized that the anti-corruption agency was not a tool to prevent Anies from running as a presidential candidate.
