JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has detected allegations of provocateurs who have prevented Papua Governor Lukas Enembe from attending the investigation of alleged corruption. They are suspected of building certain opinions. "KPK also regrets the alleged existence of parties who then build opinions so that witnesses and suspects avoid the KPK examination," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Friday, September 30. It was not specified who the party was referring to. However, they allegedly asked Lukas not to fulfill the investigator's summons. The KPK asked the party to stop being a provocateur. Ali said all parties must stop the narrative of criminalization and politicization of Lukas Enembe. "We ask certain parties not to cloud and provoke the community with narratives of criminalization and politicization," he said. Ali ensured that the KPK had worked according to sufficient preliminary evidence. It is certain that there are no criminalization allegations. "KPK conveys that every case handling carried out, including in Papua, is purely law enforcement as a follow-up to public reports to the KPK," said Ali. As previously reported, the KPK has named Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe as a suspect in alleged corruption. The case that ensnared him has not been detailed. Lukas will actually be questioned on Monday, September 26 at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
