Not Yet Recovered, AKBP Arif Rahman, Ipda Arsyad's Key Witness, Cannot Hold Full Ethics Trial

JAKARTA - AKBP Arif Rachman Arifin became a key witness in the follow-up ethics trial of Ipda Arsyad Daiva Gunawan which was held Monday, September 26.

AKBP Arif came directly to the trial but was unable to follow the process until it was completed on the grounds that he had not fully recovered after the operation.

"The witness, on behalf of AKBP AR, was able to attend. However, because his health condition was not stable, he could not complete it," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Nurul Azizah, to reporters, Tuesday, September 27.

Although AKBP Arif did not attend the trial until it was finished, the trial against Ipda Arsyad continued. The prosecution team presented four other witnesses.

One of the witnesses presented was the former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Police AKBP Ridwan Soplanit.

"Then the other witnesses were Kompol AS, Kompol IR, AKP RS, and First Brigadier RM," said Nurul.

The result or decision of the trial against Ipda Arsyad has not yet been conveyed. The reason is that they are still waiting for information from the Deputy Director of the Propam Police Division.

Ipda Arsyad underwent an ethics trial because he was suspected of being unprofessional in carrying out duties related to handling the case of Brigadier J's death at the site of the official residence case in the Duren Tiga area, Jakarta.

The son of a member of the DPR, Heri Gunawan, is a subordinate of AKP Rifaizal Samual, a former Kanit I Satreskrim Polres Metro South Jakarta.

Thus, Ipda Arsyad Daiva Gunawan is suspected of violating Article 13 paragraph 1 of PP number 1 of 2003 concerning the dismissal of members of the National Police in conjunction with Article 5 paragraph 1 letter C Article 10 paragraph 1 letter d.

Then, Article 10 paragraph 2 letter h of Perpol Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Code of Professional Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.

In addition, dozens of members of the National Police have also undergone KKEP trials. They include Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Commissioner Chuck Putranto, Commissioner Baiquni Wibowo, and Kombes Agus Nur Patria.

Then, AKP Dyah Chandrawati, AKBP Pujiyarto, AKBP Jerry Raymond Siagian, Bharada Sadam, and Brigadier Frilliyan.

Then, First Brigadier Firman Dwi Ariyanto, First Brigadier Sigid Mukti Hanggono, AKP Idham Fadilah, and Iptu Hardista Pramana Tampubolon.

They have been found guilty. The sanctions given ranging from demotional mutations to dishonorable dismissals.
