Terrorist Group Allegedly Indonesian Mujahid Slaughtered One Family In Central Sulawesi

JAKARTA - There was a massacre of a family in the Kebun Mountains, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. This massacre was allegedly carried out by the Mujahid Indonesia Timur (MIT) group.

According to a witness named Ulin, the massacre took place on Friday, November 27, at around 09.00 WITA. Then, this report reached the police at 13.00 WITA.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Didik Suparnoto, said that four people died as a result of the massacre of a family.

"The four victims of the massacre were named Yasa, Pinu, Naka, and Pedi. These four people were Ulin's family who were witnesses to the reporting," Didik said when contacted, Saturday, November 28.

The allegation of a terrorist group to be the perpetrator of this massacre is seen from the suitability of the photos of the wanted people list (DPO). At that time, Ulin admitted that the leader of the MIT group, Ali Kalora, was one of the killers.

"If the testimony from the witness who saw, after being shown the pictures from the DPO, there were three photos that were recognized, one of which was the leader of MTI Ali Kalora. Perhaps, they were moving busy," he said.

According to reports obtained, the alleged MTI group came to Ulin's house in the Kebun Mountains at around 09.00 WITA. They took the Ulin family hostage who managed to escape. Yasa, Ulin's father and Pinu, Ulin's husband died by being beheaded.

Then, the cause of the deaths of Naka and Pedi is unknown. Meanwhile, Yasa's wife Nei was also injured but still alive.

Didik explained that the group suspected of being MIT had no relationship or problem with the Ulin family. According to him, this massacre was carried out randomly.

"They have nothing to do. So, they sometimes like to carry out random actions. They are called terrorists, so they carry out acts of terror to frighten the public," said Didik.
