JAKARTA - The Voxpopuli Research Center survey showed that the pair of House of Representatives (DPR) Chairman Puan Maharani and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan excelled in the simulation of three pairs of presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates, with electability of 40.0 percent.
"The Puan-Anies pair has excelled in several presidential and vice presidential simulations", said Prijo Wasono, senior researcher at the Voxpopuli Research Center in a written statement and survey results quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 13.
The support, said Prijo, is the highest compared to other simulations.
Puan-Anies excelled in the simulation against Ganjar-Andika (29.2 percent) and Prabowo-Khofifah (25.4 percent), the rest did not know/don't answer 5.4 percent.
In another simulation, the PDIP-Gerindra coalition puts Prabowo Subianto-Puan Maharani slightly ahead (36.3 percent) against Ganjar Pranowo-Erick Thohir (31.2 percent) and Anies Baswedan-Andika Perkasa (28.6 percent), the rest do not know/do not answer 3.9 percent.
"The PDIP-Gerindra coalition has been around for a long time since Prabowo joined the Jokowi administration for the second term", said Prijo.
The Ganjar-Erick pair may be promoted by KIB, while Anies-Andika by NasDem, PKS, and Democrats. PKB can join any coalition.
In the next simulation, the coalition between PDIP and Golkar brought their respective figures. As a result, Puan-Airlangga has a narrow lead (34.8 percent) against Ganjar-Anies (31.3 percent) and Prabowo-Muhaimin (29.3 percent), the rest don't know/don't answer 4.6 percent.
"The electability of Puan and Airlangga are both low, but supported by the strength of the party, in fact, they are not strong enough to win a landslide victory", said Prijo.

Ganjar and Anies are on the radar of NasDem's candidacy, both of whom have high electability along with Prabowo.
If there are four pairs, KIB which carries Ganjar-Airlangga has a chance to win (33.4 percent), compete with the Anies-AHY pair (29.7 percent), beat Puan-Andika (22.9 percent) and Prabowo-Muhaimin (11, 7 percent), the rest don't know/don't answer 2.3 percent.
"PDIP is the only party that has the right to run for the presidential election without a coalition, but in the current multi-party situation it still requires coalition support", said Prijo.
According to him, the political dynamics will continue until the registration schedule for the presidential and vice presidential candidates is next year.
The Voxpopuli Research Center survey was conducted on September 1-7, 2022, to 1,200 respondents who were selected at random in stages (multistage random sampling) representing all provinces in Indonesia. The survey's margin of error is about 2.9 percent, at a 95 percent confidence level.
