Director General Bahtiar Is Expected To Be A Strong Figure As Governor Of DKI Jakarta

JAKARTA – Anies Baswedan's term of office will expire in one month, to be precise on October 16, 2022. Several names have emerged as executors (Pj), one of which is the Director General of Politics and General Administration (Polpum) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Bahtiar.

Bahtiar is predicted to be the right person to be the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta because he is considered to meet the juridical and psychological requirements of the heterogeneous Jakarta community.

"He is the right person to continue the leadership of Mr. Anies Baswedan", said Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Youth Alliance, David, in Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 7.

David said Bahtiar's figure would continue to be socialized so that the name of the man who now serves as the Director General of Politics and General Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs is familiar to the people of Jakarta, whom he will lead after Anies Baswedan is no longer in office.

"As a form of support, we will disseminate information to the people of DKI Jakarta in 5 cities and 1 district so that Bahtiar's figure can be better known among the people of DKI Jakarta. The forms of socialization that we will do include: distributing posters on car-free days, placing banners on JPO", he said.

He explained that the support was a form of their concern in preparing the new leadership of Jakarta, which the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta would likely carry for 2.5 years.
