The Director General of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of the Ministry of Health, Maxi Rein Rondonuwu, revealed that the case of legionella had been found in Indonesia.

"Indonesia already had the first cases of Legionella in Bali in 1996, and Tangerang in 1999, as well as other cities," explained Maxi Rein Rondonuwu as reported by ANTARA, Monday, September 5.

Maxi also explained that the Classification of Legionella as New-EIDs was contained in the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1538/Menkes/SK/XI/2003 which was signed by the Minister of Health at that time, Achmad Sujudi.
