Sending TNI Troops To Lebanon Pay Attention To World Oil Instability

JAKARTA - The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa paid attention to the instability or instability of world oil prices in preparing the budget to send TNI troops in the Maritime Task Force (MTF) XXVIII-N Unifil 2022 task force to Lebanon.

“We (TNI) will say how many tons the quantity is for traffic needs, from departing and returning. So, we are not held hostage, whatever the price at that time, the UN is obliged to support so many (tons)," Andika said, quoted by ANTARA from General TNI Andika Perkasa's YouTube channel, Friday, August 26.

General Andika reminded that in preparing the budget, the TNI must be careful and anticipate the instability of world oil prices. As is known, the impact of the war between Russia and Ukraine is the unstable world oil price.

Therefore, it is important for the TNI Commander to follow up on this when preparing the budget that will be submitted to the United Nations (UN) or the United Nations (UN).

“We must be transparent in managing reimbursement funds. Do not let there be accusations, "said Andika.

The TNI will send a Maritime Task Force (MTF) XXVIII-N Unifil 2022 task force to Lebanon. Departure to the Beirut base, Lebanon is estimated until around September 2022. A total of 119 personnel will be dispatched using KRI Frans Kaisiepo (FKO) 368 from Surabaya, East Java.

The preparation of the task force started from July to August, starting from the stages of personnel selection, selection, and training carried out by the Indonesian Navy, in this case the Fleet Command II and in collaboration with PMPP TNI.

The whole series of preparations was carried out in Surabaya, East Java. The release of the Task Force is expected to take place on 1-2 September 2022 by the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, General TNI Andika Perkasa.
