PEKANBARU - Head of the Pekanbaru Food and Drug Administration (BBPOM) Yosep Riawan released the findings of 212 items of illegal raw materials, finished products, and cosmetic packaging materials as many as 151,928 pcs with an economic value of more than Rp. 1.5 billion.

"The illegal cosmetics were found in an operation carried out by the Civil Service Investigator (PPNS) BBPOM in Pekanbaru on Thursday (11/8) with the Directorate of Intellectual Property of the POM Agency, the Special Crimes Directorate of the Riau Police, the Drugs Directorate of the Riau Police, the Riau Provincial Health Office and Pekanbaru City Health Office and Riau Province Satpol PP," said Yosep Riawan at a press conference in Pekanbaru as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, August 16.

Yosep said the crackdown operation was a manifestation of the POM Agency's commitment in eradicating illegal drugs and food that pose a risk to health by targeting the location of the operation.

Some of the cosmetics produced by TF include CLB Glow Skin Care Face Toner, CLB Glow Skincare All in One Cream, Collagen Plus Vit E Day n Night Cream, Collagen Plus Vit E Night Cream, Temulawak Cream 701, HN Cream Package, and Cream Package Tabitha.

"For his actions, the suspect is charged with Article 197 in conjunction with Article 106 paragraph (1) of the RI Law No. 36 of 2009 with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 1.5 billion," he also said.
