Bawaslu Hopes Sipol Can Detect Profiteering Of Election Organizer Names

JAKARTA - Member of the General Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu), Herwyn Malonda, hopes that the Political Party Information System (Sipol) of the General Elections Commission (KPU) can detect the ranks of election organizers whose names are listed in Sipol.

Because according to him, there are names of Bawaslu ranks in districts/cities whose names are recorded in Sipol. In fact, he said, the profiteering of names also occurred in the ranks of the KPU.

"The current weakness of Sipol cannot detect whether there are names of election organizers or not. The KPU has published a number of its members whose names have been named in Sipol, this also happened to us (Bawaslu)," said Herwyn, Saturday, August 6.

Herwyn revealed, there are election organizers whose names are used in Sipol. Then, the person concerned has a problem that ends up being tried by the Election Organizing Honorary Council (DKPP).

"DKPP has tried a similar case, even though the person concerned has clarified but it is still being questioned," said Herwyn.

In addition, Herwyn also explained the obstacles in recruiting the Adhoc Panwas. For example, a minimum of high school education and a minimum age of 25 years. According to Herwyn, it is difficult in the interior.

Another obstacle, continued Herwyn, is the demand for full-time work for Adhoc. "For those who are permanent it doesn't matter, what about the Adhoc ones," he said.

Then, added Herwyn, the lack of socialization budget for the recruitment of Adhoc Panwas. And, difficulties in receiving files, especially from sub-districts in the islands. Also about the certificate of physical and mental health.

"If it's easy around the island of Java, what about those outside Java, not to mention the costs that the prospective Adhoc registrants have to pay," he said.
