JAKARTA - A special team formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo was asked to thoroughly and transparently investigate the case of Brigadier J. Including allegations of sexual violence.

The request was submitted by the attorney of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's wife, Arman Hanis. This is because the development of the case seemed to 'bury' the alleged sexual assault, which was called the trigger for the series of deaths of Brigadier J.

"All the issues that exist make the alleged crime of sexual violence drowned by all the existing issues," said Arman in a written statement, Monday, August 1.

In fact, according to him, anyone can be a victim of a criminal act of sexual violence (TPKS). Including, even though his client is the wife of a police general.

On the other hand, Arman also considered that if the alleged sexual violence he reported was proven, then Brigadier J was considered to have committed humiliation and a major crime against the dignity of a woman, including the police institution.

"And if the allegations are proven in the future, then victim J is not only PC. But Inspector General FS, the future of their children (4 people), PC's parents, Brigadier E, and the Police Institution," he said.

For that reason, the Police were asked to thoroughly investigate the case. Including, reports that have been made.

"What happening to our clients today must be believed until proven otherwise," he explained

"We hope that this case will be opened as clearly and transparently as possible," continued Arman.

Currently, all reporting behind Brigadier J's case is handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police. Including the report of the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

Originally, the report of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's wife had been handled by Metro Jaya Police.

The reason behind the withdrawal was so that all matters regarding Brigadier J were brought together. Thus, it is more efficient in the technical investigation.

"Yes, they are combined so that they are effective and efficient in managing fingerprints," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo.

However, in the investigation, the case still involves investigators from the Metro Jaya Police and the South Jakarta Police.

Because, they are also members of the special team (timsus) formed by the National Police Chief Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

"However, the PMJ investigator, South Jakarta is still included in the Timsus fingerprint team," said Dedi.
