The Female Victim Who Was Killed By The Collapsing Building Turned Out To Be A Johar Baru Resident, Another Female Victim Was The Wife Of A Pedicab Driver At Gembrong Market

JAKARTA - The identity of a woman who was found dead under rubble has finally been revealed. The victim is known to be Zulaika (33) a woman, a resident of Johar Baru. When officers found him, the victim was already dead.

Meanwhile, the female victim who suffered a broken leg was identified as Sutami (60). Sutami is the wife of a pedicab driver who often hangs out at the Pasar Gembrong Lama intersection, which is only about 30 meters from the site where the building collapsed.

Based on information from Yanto, an eye witness to the incident, the collapsed building was in the area of RT 10/06, Jalan Kampung Rawa Sawah II, Kampung Rawa Village, Johar Baru District, Central Jakarta.

"Previously there was a drainage dig at the site," said Yanto at the location, Thursday, July 28, evening.

In addition to causing one death and one injury from building debris, two Vario motorbikes with police number B 6510 OXY and Mio with police number B 6947 PSY which were parked around the location were also hit. Two motor units were seriously damaged.

Based on VOI monitoring at the location, the two motorbikes were evacuated by joint officers to the side of the road.

As of 20.10 WIB, the evacuation process is still being carried out by officers. PPSU officers were also deployed to clean up the debris scattered on the site.

Meanwhile, local residents continued to gather to watch the evacuation process from the ruins of the building until Thursday night.
