Five Months Of Russian Invasion, President Zelensky Says Ukraine Will Not Surrender: Oppressor Admits We Will Win

JAKARTA - Ukraine's leadership said the country will continue to do all it can to inflict as much damage as possible on Russian troops as the invasion enters its fifth month.

"Even the occupiers admit that we will win," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his evening address on Sunday.

"We hear it in their conversations all the time. In what they say to their relatives when they call them," President Zelensky continued,

As every day in recent months, President Zelensky said that Ukraine is not giving up.

"We are doing everything to inflict the highest possible damage on the enemy and gather as much support as possible for Ukraine," he stressed.

He said Ukraine had an important week ahead, with the holiday approaching in the midst of what he called a "cruel war."

"But we will celebrate against all odds. Because Ukrainians will not be afraid," said President Zelensky.

As reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky believes his troops have the potential to gain advantage, deal blows, and inflict heavy losses on Russian soldiers on the battlefield.

Speaking after meeting senior army commanders, President Zelensky said the meeting had discussed the supply of modern weapons, adding that the intensity of attacks against Russia should be increased.

"(We) agree that our troops have a strong potential to advance on the battlefield and inflict significant new losses on the invaders," he said.

Meanwhile, the Russian military is likely to begin an operational pause in the coming weeks, giving Kyiv a key opportunity to strike back, Britain's spy chief said on Thursday last week.
