SEMARANG - Head of Information for Kodam (Kapendam) IV/Diponegoro Lt. Col. Bambang Hermanto said R (34), the wife of a TNI member who was shot by an unknown person in front of her house on Jalan Cemara III, Banyumanik, Semarang City, is conscious and still being treated at the hospital. .

"There has been a shooting against the wife of one of the members of Kodam IV/Diponegoro. The condition is that the person concerned is conscious," said Bambang as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 18.

The motive for the shooting itself, he said, was suspected to be an act of burglary.

According to him, this case has been handled by the police in collaboration with Pomdam IV/Diponegoro.

However, Kapendam did not explain in detail the identity of the TNI member or his wife who was the victim.

It was previously reported that a woman with the initials R (34), the wife of a member of the TNI, was shot by an unknown person in front of her house on Jalan Cemara III, Banyumanik, Semarang City, Monday (18/7).

Head of Semarang Polrestabes Kombes Irwan Anwar was found after the crime scene (TKP) said the victim suffered a wound in the abdomen due to the shot.

"Two shots, one of which was lodged in the victim's stomach," he said.

From the examination of witnesses, the unfortunate incident occurred when the victim returned home after picking up her child from school.

According to him, the suspect is believed to have followed the victim to the house.

He explained that the victim was shot when he just got off the motorcycle.

From the results of the crime scene, he continued, the victim was allegedly followed by the perpetrators, possibly more than two people riding on two motorbikes.
