Lamandau Firefighters Socialize Early Mitigation Using Portable Fire Extinguishers

Central Kalimantan - The Lamandau Regency Government is increasing the use of portable fire extinguishers (APAP) as an early mitigation of fire prevention.

The head of the Lamandau Firefighter Unit Aprimeno Sabdey assessed that the use of APAP is effective in the event of a fire, including in the office environment.

"For this reason, we are intensifying socialization and simulations on the use of APAP aimed at representatives of each regional apparatus, the business world, and banks," he said in Nanga Bulik, Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan), Friday, July 15.

Utilization of APAP, he continued, is important as an initial action to handle fires so that they can minimize incidents until the fire brigade team arrives at the location for further handling.

Through the socialization and simulation, it is hoped that each representative of the regional apparatus understands the correct procedure for using APAP, so that when using it, they will no longer experience difficulties.

"Furthermore, it will be followed up with widespread socialization and targeting the general public," he said, according to Antara.

He explained that the use of APAP can be carried out by all parties, not only the office environment, but also in the community, including schools, neighborhood unit/community, housewives, PKK members, Dharma Wanita, organizations, and other communities.

He explained that the fire brigade team in Lamandau is always on standby and optimally handling fires.

He hopes for community support in preventing and handling fires, including providing information as soon as possible if they find the disaster.
