BANDA ACEH - The North Aceh District Attorney's Investigation Team searched the Baitul Mal office in Aceh Regency to look for evidence related to the investigation into alleged corruption in the construction of houses for the poor.
The Head of the North Aceh Prosecutor's Office Diah Ayu Hartati Listiyarini Iswara Akbari said the search was a follow-up to the exposure of the alleged corruption case in the construction of houses for the poor for the 2021 fiscal year.
"This search is to find evidence to improve the case handling process. Currently, the handling of the case is still at the investigation stage. If evidence is found, it will immediately be escalated to the investigation stage," said Diah Ayu as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 14.
The search was led by Wahyudi Kuoso, who is also the Head of the Special Crimes Section of the North Aceh District Attorney's Office. The search was supported by a security team from the North Aceh Kejari Intelligence Section, led by Arif Kadarman.
During the search, said Diah Ayu, the team secured a number of documents related to the alleged corruption in the construction of houses for the poor at Baitul Mal, North Aceh Regency.
"All related documents were confiscated by the investigative team and taken to the North Aceh District Attorney's Office. Furthermore, the related documents were examined to find evidence of alleged corruption in the construction of houses for the poor," said Diah Ayu.
