ACEH - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Lhokseumawe City, Aceh, recorded that 31,160 people or 18.86 percent of the targeted 165,321 people in the area had already received the third or booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

"Vaccination of booster dose vaccines in Lhokseumawe City is still low at only 18.86 percent or 31,160 people from the target of 165,321 people," said Head of the Lhokseumawe City Health Service Safwaliza in Lhokseumawe, Antara, Wednesday, July 12.

However, Safwaliza said that his party continues to intensify vaccinations so that the achievement of booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine reaches the predetermined target.

Regarding the overall achievement of the COVID-19 vaccine vaccination, Safwaliza said for the first dose as many as 172,799 people or 104.52 percent. While the second dose was 122,889 people or 74.33 percent.

"We also invite people who have not received the full dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to immediately visit outlets to participate in the vaccination," said Safwaliza.

Safwaliza said the COVID-19 vaccine vaccination was to build immunity to prevent the bad effects of the corona virus fever. Vaccination is an effort to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

The head of the Lhokseumawe City Health Office also reminded people who have received the COVID-19 vaccine to continue to comply with health protocols.

"Always apply health protocols by still wearing masks, maintaining distance and avoiding crowds. Because the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing," said Safwaliza.
