Update On COVID-19 As Of November 4: New Cases Of 3,356, Total 421,731 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 40,979 specimens were examined with the results of 3,356 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 421,731 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Wednesday, November 4.

Today's cases increased by 3,785, so that a total of 353,282 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 113 people and a total of 14,259 people.

The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 768 new cases and a total of 108,614 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Followed by Central Java, which has 547 new cases with a total of 35,618 cases. West Java has 516 new cases and a total of 37,924 cases. East Java has 239 new cases and a total of 53,513 cases. Then, Riau has 172 new cases and a total of 15,119 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 934 recovered cases. Followed by West Sumatra with an additional 668 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 362 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 290 recovered cases.

Then, there are 3 provinces that reported having no new cases today. The provinces are Maluku, Papua and Gorontalo.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 4,638,515. In detail, a total of 4,553,614 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 84,901 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).

"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.2 percent," he wrote.

Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 56,967 people. Currently, 502 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
