Kiai Jombang's Son MSAT Surrendered Last Midnight, East Java Police Chief: Guilty Or Not There's A Court Process

JOMBANG - Moch Subchi Azal Tsani (MSAT), a suspect in the sexual abuse of female students at the Shiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, East Java, was brought to the East Java Police after surrendering. Mas Bechi, the name of the suspect will soon be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office for the trial stage.

"Today, we continue to prioritize communication with parents because we respect him and the person concerned (MSAT) surrendered," said East Java Police Chief Inspector General Nico Afinta in front of the Shiddiqiyah Islamic Boarding School, Thursday, July 7 evening.

In the near future, Mas Bechi alias MSAT will be handed over to the Attorney General's Office. The East Java Regional Police Chief emphasized that the court process will determine the guilt or innocence of the son of the Jombang Kiai.

"We are coordinating with the prosecutor's office. To determine whether someone is wrong or not is through a court process. We continue to open up infrastructure and opportunities for those concerned to defend themselves in the courtroom. This process runs because there are victims, the Police are obliged to provide services and protection to victims," said the East Java Police Chief.

In addition to MSAT, 320 sympathizers suspected of molesting female students were detained at the Jombang Police Headquarters. Checks are still being carried out.

“320 people are still at the Jombang Police Station undergoing examination. Anyone who hinders law enforcement will be processed," said the East Java Police Chief.
