Harris said that there are still deviations made by the community in order to send their children to places that are considered favorite schools, such as forcing themselves to enter the zone closest to the school to be accepted, even though the distance from the child's house to the actual school is tens of kilometers.

"In the current era, there is no longer a favorite school. It must be abolished. There are parents who want it in SMA 3, if that's the case in Bandung, we call it all SMA 3 schools. That's how it is, so let this assumption stop," he said.

He added that basically the PPDB system prepared by the Education Office was good, but the actions of a number of people made problems persist or were found.

"I don't think the system (PPDB, ed.) is bad, but indeed the intervention of a few people will continue to happen and they will continue to find a way. These elements will find a way later," he said.
