Some Of The Victims Of The Keraton Agung Sejagat Fraud Have Sold Rice Fields

JAKARTA - The police have determined that the case of the Keraton Agung Sejagat in Purworejo, Central Java is in the realm of fraud. There was a certain amount of money that flowed into the palace, only lasted four days and then disbanded.

Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Kombes Iskandar Fitriana Sutisna, who was contacted by VOI, said that the victims of the fraud from the Great Palace of the Universe did not only come from outside Purworejo. There were also victims who came from Lampung.

"From the suspect's confession, there are also those from Lampung. But we don't know how many," said Iskandar when contacted by VOI, Thursday, January 16.

Meanwhile, seen from the economic condition of the victims, Iskandar said, the majority came from the middle to lower class. They are willing to hand over money for the palace, and some even go into debt and sell their property. The amount of money deposited starts from IDR 3 million to IDR 30 million.

"Of the many victims, many have sold rice fields, some have even debts with neighbors and their families," said Iskandar.

They dare to participate in depositing a certain amount of money because they are expected to get a high salary from the kingdom and live a prosperous life. The lure they got, their salaries were paid in foreign currency.

"He lured a position in the kingdom, and promised a substantial salary later, per month that was 500 US dollars. In addition, he assured that life when he became a member of the kingdom would be much better than now," said Iskandar.

Previously, two suspects, Toto Santoso Hadiningrat and Fanni Aminadia, were arrested by members of the Central Java Regional Police's General Criminal Investigation Directorate, yesterday, Tuesday, January 14, at around 18.00 WIB. From this arrest, the police confiscated a number of evidence, including forged documents related to the recruitment of members of the palace.

Based on the results of the investigation, their actions were considered to have fulfilled criminal elements. Thus, for all their actions, they were charged under Article 14 of Law Number 1 Year 1946 and Article 378 of the Criminal Code.
