Motorcycle Thief In Cilandak Who Claims To Be A Marine Has Been Arrested

JAKARTA - After going through the investigation process, police officers from the Cilandak sector, South Jakarta finally arrested the perpetrator of the theft of a motorcycle in TNI uniform, the Marine Corps.

"It has been secured. (The perpetrator has the initials) K alias S alias A," said Cilandak Police Chief, Commissioner Multazam Lisendra when confirmed by VOI, Monday, June 20.

The perpetrator with the initials K, while carrying out his action, approached the victim, Arpan (38). Through that approach, the perpetrator claimed to be a Marine, and he targeted the victim's Nmax motorbike.

The approach process carried out by the perpetrators took up to 3 days, Friday, June 3. The effort was made to make the victim believe in him.

The victim, when contacted, said that he did not expect the person he had just met, namely K, to be so kind to him. Even according to Arpan's confession, the perpetrator offered a business.

After several days of coming to the victim's house, the perpetrator borrowed the victim's Nmax motorbike, with the excuse that he wanted to take things from the car parked in front of the victim's house alley.

It seems that the perpetrator's efforts succeeded in making the victim believe in him. At that time, the perpetrator immediately fled. Realizing that he had been duped, the victim reported to the Cilandak Police.

"Thank God the fake marines have been caught. Thank you to everyone who helped," said the victim to VOI.
