Pertamina Distributes Pertamax Turbo To Mandalika Ahead Of The MotoGP Event

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) began distributing the pertamax turbo type of special fuel (BBK) to anticipate the increasing public demand ahead of MotoGP in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara in 2021.

He estimates that the demand for Pertamax turbo has the potential to increase ahead of the MotoGP event because automotive fans from various regions are likely to flock to Lombok Island, both from Bali Island and Java Island.

"It could be that the motorbike community will later come touring from Bali and Java to the island of Lombok to watch. Therefore, we consider it important to provide Pertamax turbo according to their needs," he said.

Currently, said Ngurah, the demand for Pertamax turbo in Lombok Island is on average three kilo liters per day or can reach 80 kilo liters per month. However, sales are still limited to a few gas stations.

Even so, he continued, efforts to provide relatively large quantities had already been made. In fact, in one visit the ship carries as much as 500 kilo liters. This amount can be used to meet the needs of up to half a year.

His side has also provided a special Pertamax turbo storage tank so that transport tank trucks no longer have to travel far to the Sanggaran Petroleum Fuel Terminal (TBBM) in Bali.

"Now we have provided a special tank, so that ships that come directly take them to Lombok. So there is no need to send tank trucks to Sanggaran Bali," he said.

He also estimates that the interest of the people of Lombok Island in using BBK type pertamax turbo will grow. This is because high-octane fuel (RON 98) can improve vehicle performance and is classified as environmentally friendly.

"Pertamax turbo can be used for all types of four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles. Whether the CC is big or small, it doesn't matter," said Ngurah.
