Jokowi Reshuffle Issues Minister, Cabinet Secretary: The President Has Been In Government For 8 Years, He Knows The Needs Of The Cabinet

JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Anung, said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has led the government for eight years so he knows his needs in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet.

Therefore, said Pramono, the time to reshuffle or reshuffle the cabinet is completely determined by Jokowi.

"The cabinet is the full authority of the president. The president has the prerogative. The president wants to change at any time, it's up to the president, today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, the authority is entire with the president", said Pramono at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 14.

As the news developed, several political elites predicted that Jokowi would make a cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday, June 15 this week.

"What is clear is that the President has been in this government for 8 years, and he knows very well what the needs of this cabinet are, so he knows very well", he continued.

The General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, has also stated that his party is ready to work with whoever President Jokowi will appoint in the event of a cabinet reshuffle.

Based on the Antara report, the party that is said to have a strong chance to enter the cabinet is the National Mandate Party, because the party led by Zulkifli Hasan, was invited to a coalition party meeting by President Joko Widodo in August 2021 at the Merdeka Palace.

At that time PAN was even introduced in the meeting as a new friend of the coalition.

"Anyway, it's the President's full authority, when, what person, what party, what needs. That's the President who knows because this government is still 2 years away, so with the need and speed, the President will decide", explained Pramono.
